Juniors Cricket

Junior Cricket

Richmond Union Cricket Club has a proud history of supporting junior cricket since the formation of the club in 1967. Our focus is on participation and enjoyment for the children of Richmond and surrounding suburbs in the game of cricket. Most of our juniors are from the City of Yarra.  However all children regardless of area are welcome. In the past we have had children as far as Werribee take part.

The club has teams in the under 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 age groups and we also take part in the Woolworth's Cricket Blast Program (for 5 - 10 year old's) ,which introduces children to cricket in a safe and friendly environment. The club is always keen to recruit future champions for its senior ranks however children of all abilities are welcome. The idea of cricket is too have fun!

Richmond Union provides all match day equipment. This includes bats, pads, helmets, etc.

The under 14 and 16 teams play on Friday evenings whilst the under 10 and 12 teams play on Saturday mornings. The club plays in the Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) and as the name implies, most of the games are played in the eastern suburbs and games are generally close to our home club ground of Citizen Park, Richmond.
